The all new Bambino School for 6-7 year olds allows youngsters to learn the basics of kart driving before they enter competitions. The main emphasis is on building confidence and on having fun. The school takes place on a self contained circuit using purpose built Italian Bambino mini racing karts fitted with a 2-stroke 50cc engine and disc brake.
The 125cc Mini-Max Class is the next stage up the motor racing ladder and is ideal for the 11-16 year old age group. As a driver's strength and confidence grows, they learn to cope with the extra power of the 2-stroke 125cc water-cooled Rotax Max engine. The school's Mini-Max karts are race prepared and feature an electric start and automatic clutch. They are capable of speeds approaching 60mph. Potential drivers should have had some experience of karting, either by moving up from cadets or via a similar race school elsewhere; If this experience cannot be proven an assessment of ability will need to be demonstrated before using the Mini Max. This will be achieved by the student using a four stroke machine (160cc) in the first of their three on circuit sessions of the day where they will be assessed by the instructor. Subject to his satisfaction, the student will progress to the Mini Max for their second and third sessions.
Cadet Karting for the 8-13 year old age group has been a success story since its introduction sixteen years ago. The school's Honda Sodi Cadet karts are race prepared and built to the strictest safety standards. Fitted with a Honda 4-stroke engine, automatic clutch, and either slick or wet tyres (depending on weather conditions), Cadet karts are capable of speeds approaching 40mph and are totally user friendly, great fun to drive and ideal for first time novice drivers with no previous karting experience. Note: Minimum height requirement 4' 2".
