Buckmore Junior Club Rookie Race

A non-championship event

Date: Wednesday, 25th August 2010.

Time: 1:00pm to 5:00pm.

Cost: £70 per Cadet 8-13, £70 per Cadet 11-16.

This Junior Club Rookie event follows the format of the regular club race meetings but is designed for those drivers new to Junior racing.
Drivers who will be eligible to enter are those who started racing no earlier than the 1st March 2009
Also eligible will be new drivers who have not yet raced, but have undertaken a minimum of one Kart School introductory lesson at Buckmore Park or similar approved Kart School.
This extra event gives a chance to the newer driver to make his or her mark without the added pressure of the very experienced drivers competing for a championship.
A one off admin charge of £10 is made to register the driver, should he/she go on to join the Junior Club this charge will be credited against the £20 membership fee.
As with the standard BPJC club events the grid will be split into two age groups and the grid size will of course depend on the numbers booked. The age groups will be 8-13 and 11-16 to allow the driver in the middle age range to select which group to suit his/her physical size.
Trophies will be given to the top three finishers in both age groups. Each driver will complete a three lap practice period before going on to race in three point scoring heats. The points earned in these heats will determine grid positions for the final(s) and all drivers will race a final.

17:00 Presentation of awards

Please note: Places are strictly limited and must be booked and paid for in advance. Drivers must also be a minimum of 4’ 2” and a minimum of 8yrs of age.
