Buckmore Park Kart Drivers Club (BPKDC)

There is no mystery about it, no funny handshakes and no cost. A driver's first entry into an open hire-kart event brings with it automatic membership of the BPKDC, which currently enjoys a membership of around 4,500 active drivers.

Members have the right to access an active members-only forum where a lively social scene has evolved. Discussions cover every conceivable topic including the best racing line in the wet for Garda, the credit crunch, the latest on-line simulator and the best race boots currently on offer.

Club members are also on the personal invitation list for a mixture of special events that take place over the year — Star Pupil Day being one example. Here the top club drivers are invited to compete in a range of race formats, whilst independent judges whittle the entry of around fifty drivers down to a single Star Pupil. The newly crowned winner receives fantastic prizes worth around £1,500, as well as the respect of the entire club.

The annual awards evening is another chance for members to get together socially whilst congratulating their friends for their various successes throughout the season. Special members-only events are arranged on a random basis and these too are invitation only. Get your name on the list today by booking your first race!

BPKDC members also have an exclusive 'fast track' to booking events on-line. By entering their membership number, they don't then have to fill in all their details every time they book, and upon arrival their paperwork is printed off and only in need of a signature.

Drivers under 18 years of age.

The minimum age to drive in adult events is 16 years*, but all drivers aged under 18 years must be signed in by their parent or guardian who should be present at the desk when the minor signs in. Without a parent or guardian counter signature the minor will not be permitted to drive.

*The minimum age is reduced to 14years for drivers who carry a current MSA Kart Race licence which MUST be presented and checked. This does not remove the need for a parent/guardian countersignature.

Thanks for a great evening as usual.
