The Grand Prix League is a Championship series comprising of eight rounds of which the driver's best six scores will count towards the championship.
It is run in two weight categories, lightweights being drivers under 85kg in full race kit, and heavies who are drivers who exceed 85kg.
It is not necessary to compete the full series as all rounds are open to 'one off' entries.
Date: Tuesday, 30th December 2014.
Time: 5:45pm to 10:00pm.
Cost: £88 per Light (below 85kg), £88 per Heavy (over 85kg).
The cut and thrust of Sprint Racing on the full International Circuit, but with the added excitement of a championship series.
Separate weight classes for light (<85kg) and heavies (85kg>) will ensure fair play. Note: both weight classes will share the grids but have their points allocated separately.
A 10 minute practice session is followed by three point scoring heats for each driver and finals for the top scoring entrants.
Trophies are awarded to the top three finishers in each weight class.
This event is an ideal stepping stone up from the highly popular non championship International Sprint event.
This four star event is suitable for drivers with experience who wish to enjoy racing within a championship environment.
The championship consists of 4 rounds, of which all rounds are to count.
One-off entries are welcome.
Note: During this summers season we ran the Grand Prix League events concurrently with the International Sprint which provide so successful we are continuing with the format for the winter. The drivers will complete in their own races and will have a separate trophy presentation. Itinerary:
