The Summer Iron Man series is a 3* Championship series of eight rounds. A driver's best six scores count towards the Championship. This series is for experienced drivers with stamina. It is not necessary to compete in all rounds, one off entries are very welcome. Be aware that this series traditionally sells out very fast and drivers wishing to compete in the whole Championship should book early to avoid disappointment.
The Solo 60 runs from November to February and is a non-championship series of events. The format is exactly the same as the Iron Man. For those seeking a winter 1hr Championship, see Man of Steel (left).
Date: Wednesday, 30th May 2012.
Time: 6:45pm to 9:15pm.
Cost: £87 per Light (below 85kg), £87 per Heavy (over 85kg).
The cut and thrust of Sprint Racing on the full International Circuit, but with the added excitement of a championship series.
Separate weight classes for light (<85kg) and heavies (85kg>) will ensure fair play. Note: both weight classes will share the grids but have their points allocated separately.
A 10 minute practice session is followed by three point scoring heats for each driver and finals for the top scoring entrants.
Trophies are awarded to the top three finishers in each weight class.
This event is an ideal stepping stone up from the highly popular non championship International Sprint event.
This four star event is suitable for drivers with experience who wish to enjoy racing within a championship environment.
The championship consists of 8 rounds, of which the best 6 scores count.
One-off entries are welcome.
