The Man of Steel is a Championship Series
The Man of Steel Summer Series is a Championship series comprising of eight rounds of which the driver's best six scores will count towards the championship.
It is a 4* event for very experienced and fit drivers.
It is run in two weight categories, lightweights being drivers under 85kg in full race kit, and heavies who are drivers who exceed 85kg.
It is not necessary to compete the full series as all rounds are open to 'one off' entries.
The Winter Championship
This is a four round championship where the best three scores will count. The format, itinerary and weight classes are the same as above.

Cost: £120 per Light (below 85kg), £120 per Heavy (over 85kg).
The 4* Man of Steel is one man, one hour test of stamina for experienced drivers .
New lower price for 2013
This season we are continuing to offer F1 style qualifying in the Man of Steel.
All drivers compete in Q1, a ten minute session. Driver’s finishing 25th to 38th will qualify in those grid slots. The remaining 24 drivers will move to Q2, an eight minute session. Those finishing Q2 in positions 13th to 24th will qualify in those grid slots. The remaining 12 will go through to Q3 (6 minutes) and will fill grid slots 1-12. For the purposes of qualifying, weight classes will be ignored though the fastest in each class will still earn one bonus point, regardless of actual grid position.
This 4* series uses RT8 karts on the full International Circuit
Separate weight classes for light & heavy drivers (85kg).
Trophies to both weight classes!
This series is designed for the experienced competitor who is looking for a greater challenge.
It is an ideal step up from our popular 3* Iron Man series.
An 8 round championship of which the best 6 scores count.
One off entries are more than welcome.

The Sodi World Series (SWS)
This series is also a qualifying round for the Sodi World Series (SWS). The SWS is a hire kart world championship and the top drivers compete in a world final each year in Europe. Entry is free and we will register all drivers automatically with the SWS website. You do not need to do anything except book with us and then turn up and race.
As well as scoring points in the Buckmore Championship, you will earn points in the SWS world series. The top point scoring drivers in the world will then be invited to compete in the World Finals in Europe during the summer of 2014. Buckmore members have made the finals for three consecutive years! Will you be there next summer?
