They say that charity begins at home and that’s fine unless you are thinking bigger when we firmly believe that charity should begin at Buckmore Park. We have been helping fundraisers maximise donations for many years as can be seen below.
Charity karting events at Buckmore hit the spot in more ways than one. Substantial sums (see examples below) can be generated at a single event. Guests who are enjoying themselves are in the right frame of mind to dig deep and be generous. Holding a charity fundraising will improve the perception of your company far more than any straightforward corporate event could ever hope to do.
Our team have plenty of ideas to help you make the most of your fundraiser and we will be happy to discuss these with you in advance so that on the day your guests are already primed and in the mood to give generously.
Here are a few recent events held at the circuit and the amount raised in each case:
The Henry Surtees Foundation.
Was set up to assist people with accidental brain and physical injuries, provide education and training in technology, engineering and fitness.
The Henry Surtees Foundation held a special karting event in memory of Henry Surtees to raise awareness and funds for the foundation set up in his memory. The event was attended by many prominent stars of motorsport and raised around £21,000 from this one event.
The AMLIN Charity Race
Specialist insurers AMLIN hold an annual 3hr Charity Team Endurance to raise funds for a carefully selected 'basket' of charities. This year the event is on target to raise around £44,000!
Extra 21 Down Syndrome Charity

Rydon Construction Charity Endurance
Yvonne Mitchell of Rydon Construction recently commented...
“19 years ago our colleague Roger Horton arranged our first corporate Go-Karting event at Buckmore Park. Following his tragic death from a heart attack Rydon have held our Annual Corporate Go-Karting event at Buckmore Park in his memory and all proceeds are donated to CORDA (The Coronary Artery Disease Research Association). Money is raised through grid bids and raffle tickets and we raised £4,500.00 at this year's event on 17 May. To date we have raised an amazing total of £51,780."
Wates – Changing Paths Endurance
Changing Paths has been set up by the Wates Family through the Wates Giving charity programme. Changing Paths assists people from our communities into sustainable employment within the construction sector and its supply chain.
This new event was a big success and was attended by Falklands hero Simon Weston and Kimbra Standish of Gladiator fame. The final figure raised is yet to be confirmed but the signs are pointing toward a very healthy sum.
Hydraquip – Karting for Heroes Endurance
Karting for Heroes is sponsored by Hydraquip and recently raised over £4,000 in just three hours for the Help for Heroes Charity.
