The Junior Championship
Junior Championship Series
We run non-championship and championship rounds throughout the year. The Summer championship runs from March to October, and the Winter championship between November & February.
The Junior series is run in two race categories, Junior Rookie & Junior Pro. All races are run on the full International Circuit.
The Rookie drivers are split into two overlapping age classes (8-13 and 12-15) to allow for different growth rates and weights. All rookie drivers use the 160cc Junior Sodi Karts.
Rookie races are not part of a championship, so you can enter as many or as few as you like.
The Pro drivers also race in two age groups. Ages 8-13 year olds drive the 160cc Junior Sodi Karts and the 13-16 year old drivers use 390cc Sodi karts (assessment required). There are trophies for the top three in all classes.
Pro races form the Summer & Winter championships, so points are totalled after each round.
Eligibility
- All drivers need to have passed an initial training session (or alternative assessment) before being eligible to take part in these events.
